L’ORÉAL JOINS NZ HAIR & BEAUTY FAMILY

Lockdowns taught us many things, but a lasting reminder is the importance of the hair and beauty industry! The largest hair and beauty industry event on New Zealand’s calendar is just around the corner, with the NZ Hair & Beauty Expo and Industry Summit taking place on 18 - 19 June 2022 at Auckland Showgrounds.  Bringing the industry back together after a few years apart it will see hairdressers, nail technicians, facialists, waxers, tanners and male groomers connecting, sharing knowledge and upskilling in the latest trends from around the world and right here at home.

NZ Hair & Beauty continues to grow in size and scale since it was purchased in 2019 with the hair and male grooming categories in particular showing expansion.  Just announced as an exhibitor is L’Oréal, the world's largest cosmetics company offering innovative lines in hair colour, skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfume, and hair care.

L’Oréal, as well as exhibiting, will also be delivering live education on the Expo main stage, Sunday 19 June, 1pm – 2.30pm.

Niq James, Chair of Hair & Barber New Zealand comments, “Education is the priority being delivered on the main stage, and it’s an opportunity for attendees to get up close and personal at the Hair & Barber New Zealand Education Station, and the Industry Summit.  Having the support of L’Oréal is particularly exciting given the wealth of experience they bring to the Expo.”

Alishia Smart, General Manager L’Oréal Professional Products comments, “We know the importance of face to face networking, and this event is a great way for our industry to connect, learn and upskill. Our team is looking forward to being on the ground and meeting their tribe of motivated professionals from across New Zealand.”

Shaughan Woodcock, Event Director and Owner comments, “We’re delighted to welcome L’Oréal to the Expo family.  There have been a lot of hurdles and hoop jumping over the last few years for us in the events industry and those in the hair and beauty sector, but watching this show continue to grow really is a reminder of not only how resilient people are, but how in demand their skills are across New Zealand.”

The weekend will be packed with the latest in female and male grooming, with education remaining a huge drawcard for visitors. There will be two live stages in action across the weekend with demonstrations from industry professionals who thrive off passing their learnings to others.
