Saturday 15 July - Main Stage

 

10.00am - 10.30am - Brows in Fashion

One of Australia's premier Brow and Makeup Artists, Jazz Pampling and Makeup Artist Becca Gilmartin are teaming up on stage to have a fun look at the importance of brows in an overall makeup look. Get hints and tips in makeup application, overall design and the art of brows to help take your work to the next level 


11.30am - 12.00noon - Silver Circle Productions

Silver Circle is a community circus that formed in 2008 when a bunch of amateur performers from a variety of persuasions decided to try their hands at burlesque, cabaret and circus. The team consists of accomplished performers at advanced levels of acrobalance, aerials, juggling, handbalance, stunt lifting, and fire performance as well as associated performance skills ranging from dance to stage fighting.

Silver Circle has produced an exciting show just for the NZ Hair & Beauty Expo. Showcasing a powerful and passionate adagio routine we present Acro Connect, on the Corde Lisse, Charlie and Teresa will use verticality to explore the themes of tension and heartbreak, and lastly Kate will delight you through her powerful and dynamic movement on the aerial pole. 


13.00pm - 14.30pm - Hair and Makeup with Sarah Laidlaw

Session stylist and makeup artist Sarah Laidlaw will take you through a series of editorial looks live on stage.  In this 90 minutes sessions, you'll see models transformed from simple clean beauty to editorial shapes, changing textures and strong fashion looks.  Come and watch the creative process in real time.


15.00pm - 15.30pm - NZ Body Art Showcase 'Once Upon a Time"
Presented by The Body Art Trust, Eventimento & Apollo Theatre Company

The NZ Hair & Beauty Expo is delighted to welcome back to the main stage an exhibition performance by the NZ Body Art Trust entitled ‘Once Upon a Time’. I’m sure we all still remember their amazing 2015 show ‘The Lost Circus’

‘Once Upon A Time’ tells the story of a young girl who wants to become the world’s best dancer. The performance told through a story teller with his book of fairy tales, takes us on a magical journey based on her dreams, some pleasant and some more sinister.

Woven amongst the story are the body painted characters she will meet in her dreams including Miss Fairytale, Miss Flight, The Black Forest, The Enchanted Castle and Miss Carnival.

This 25 minute exhibition piece is based on their full show to be staged at the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna, Auckland on Saturday 26 August 2017.

Jazz will share her tips and tricks on how to create the ideal brow shape. Dealing with tricky brows and the common mistakes people make when shaping a brow
